123 EDI releases SQL version of EDI Engine™

For Release: April 10, 2006

Hollywood FL— As part of the pursuit for extending 123 EDI's realm of solutions, the company releases a new edition of EDI Engine™ for client/server databases called EDI Engine SQL. This new release, already certified to work with Microsoft SQL, will be available for other main stream databases like Oracle later in 2007. The ability to connect to various databases, or in better words, to be database independent, is possible based on EDI Engine's 3-tier design where only a few of the components on an isolated connectivity layer are database dependent.

EDI Engine™ SQL will be able to satisfy the demands of customers with large transactional volume or in needed of truly distributed and/or redundant systems.

Initially, EDI Engine™ SQL is limited in terms of compatibility with all interface modules of the original EDI Engine™. The company plans are to unify both products into a single version by the beginning of 2008, where the database selection will be independent from the software. Small and large customers alike will have the same features and functionality with the option to select different database technologies.
