123EDI Profile

Small and mid-sized businesses SMB constantly face challenges similar to those of larger companies. Huge corporations exercise enormous control in the way business is conducted today and SMBs are therefore confronted with the daunting task of responding quickly and efficiently to the rapid and complex changes in the methodology and execution requirements demanded by the supply chain.

With few exceptions, SMBs must utilize the same information and technology tools that are employed by larger business firms. Budgeting constraints and a limited capability to specialize in the many varied aspects of technology make it increasingly difficult for SMBs to implement the tools of the new information technology. Therefore, the question is how to devise a way to develop an information technology strategy that will enable a company to survive in an intensely competitive environment, where the technology is costly, complicated, and frequently inaccessible.

The mission of 123 EDI is to resolve this dilemma by developing technological prototypes that will serve the multifaceted needs of its customers. 123 EDI has been providing effective solutions to these problems since 1991, always taking into consideration the delicate balance between the cost-benefit relationship that is usually factored into operational decisions.

With its vast experience 123 EDI focuses exclusively on the EDI requirements of SMBs and provides the best solutions by using a working module with a high degree of specialization and combining it with the application of an appropriate technology .

Founded in 1991, the company, formerly known as MIS Consulting & Services, Inc., was a consulting service that assisted companies with the implementation of accounting, manufacturing and warehousing systems. However , by 1993, the company had started to evolve and to provide dynamic EDI solutions to its clients and to form strong alliances and strategic partnerships with key business firms.

By 1996, the company had consolidated its EDI strategy by taking the approach of creating and supporting its own software products including EDI Engine™, a comprehensive and robust solution for EDI processing and integration with other programs. EDI Engine™ is a software application that has been continuously evolving since its inception and has strengthened the company's position as a strong EDI solution provider. It has become the mainstay of 123 EDI 's products used for integration with accounting and warehousing systems. With it, a shift has occurred in the basic concept of EDI and instead of being viewed simply as a mandatory expense, it is now considered an essential and beneficial technological resource.

In 1999, the company completed its transformation to a broad-based engineering/software company and changed its name to 123 EDI, Inc., in order to more clearly reflect its highly specialized, nuanced function and outstanding ability to adapt quickly.

The constant challenge for 123 EDI is to consistently assist its customers in facilitating the process of dealing with the growing complexities of operating in an era of globalization by responding with skill and alacrity to their demands to streamline and expand the automation of their EDI operations.
